FHR Radio's history with supporting and promoting David Archuleta and his music goes back a few years to the day we discovered him in 2002/2003 while searching for a background song we needed for a 9/11 website we were putting together and came across his video when he flew to New York City on the second anniversary of 9/11 (09/11/2002) and sang "I will always love you" inside New York Fire Department Station Number 54 in Manhattan. Being Firefighters and EMS personnel ourselves, that sincere act of kindness and compassion meant a lot to the firefighers, ems personnel and their families.
Since then, FHR Radio and myself have dedicated our efforts to promoting David and his music. As we followed him through the years including Star Search in 2003, his sites/forums in 2004-2006 and to our amazement becoming the runner-up on the seventh season of American Idol in 2008. Back in 2004 we joined up with Todd who was the Street Team Leader running the Official David Archuleta Yahoo Group and Street Team which is now known as Archuleta Fan Scene and we are glad to be able to do our part in bringing David's music into homes around the world.
FHR Radio was founded as a country music station as many of the record labels that support what we do are country, but through the years we have learned that many of our country music fans also enjoy pop music and we have a great demand for it as well. Therefore, we have introduced POP music into our lineup and are proud to be able to bring you the best from today's top major, independent and international artists.
